Description:

Situated at the end of Val Noana at the bottom of the homonymous dam, it can be easily reached from Mezzano and Imer by asphalted road for 8 km. The refuge is managed by the owners Franca by his son chef Julio and Mariano.

A paradise for those who really love nature and want to relax or practice sports while admiring incredible landscapes in the mountains. It is the starting point of many paths and walks of different difficulties. A new path recently traced called “Sentiero degli abeti gianti” is a path not to be missed. Walking you can experience mountain life by visiting mountain huts and observing rustic works such as haymaking and cutting plants in the woods. It is easy to see wild animals.

Activities:

Situated in an area where in summer time you can find a lot of mushrooms. There are many cliffs in the valley for climbing enthusiasts. In winter they are transformed into ice falls. The most practiced summer sport starting from the mountain hut is canyoning which, through qualified instructors of the Alpine Guides, the Eagles of S. Martino di Castrozza, will make you live an adrenaline experience. Another very popular sport is mountain biking with many routes.

A very significant activity is fishing both on the lake and in the Noana torrent for which the refuge has the possibility to issue permits.

The pride of the refuge is the restaurant, with chef Julio who delights you with a cuisine of 0 km products and traditional dishes of Trentino and Primierotta revisited. The cold cuts and cheeses are all products of the Primiero valley.

The specialities are fresh pasta, gnocchi and traditional dumplings and various vegetables. The dishes are based on mountain herbs.
You absolutely must try the game, grilled meats, are famous ribs, salad meat, special Brazilian meat and all desserts are homemade. All combined with a nice wine list and a good choice of grappa.
