Apple Strudel

Ingredients for the dough
- 440 g of flour
- 2 eggs
- 60 g of oil
- 160 g warm water
- 1 pinch of salt
Ingredients for the filling
- 1,2 kg of apples
- 120 g of sugar with a little cinnamon
- 250 g breadcrumbs
- melted butter
- some raisins
- a shot of rum
Preparation of the dough
Knead and mix the flour, eggs, oil, salt and water. The dough thus obtained must rest for about half an hour, but a better result would be obtained by preprising it the previous day. The dough is worked by pulling it by hand: turn it, pulling it from all sides until you get an almost transparent sheet. The dough is then dosed on a floured cloth and then brushed with melted butter.
Filling
Peel and chop the apples, brown the breadcrumbs in butter and soak the raisins in rum. Mix everything together with the sugar and cinnamon. Place the stuffing on the top of the pastry: the more stuffing there is, the better the result will be. Roll up the pastry with the help of the dish towel and then place the apple strudel on a baking tray.
Make sure that the bottom of the sheet is in contact with the baking sheet. At this point brush the strudel with melted butter and bake for ten minutes at 200° and then for another 30-45 minutes at 180° in a preheated oven.
