The Dolomites, amazing rock formations unique in the world for their magnificence, geomorphological and geological variety, as well as for the careful care of the territory at their feet maintained over the centuries by the mountain people, are home to numerous areas protected by the Natural Parks.

Not surprisingly, the particular landscape is one of the criteria for which the Dolomites were included in the UNESCO World Heritage List in 2009: “The Dolomites are widely considered to be among the most beautiful mountain landscapes in the world” (UNESCO, Declaration of Exceptional Universal Value). And the Natural Parks are an excellent point of discovery, they were established to preserve the most valuable naturalistic areas, to promote scientific studies and compatible relationships between man and the environment, but also to enhance, through sustainable tourism, the peculiarities and to promote knowledge through visits to unique places in the world with respect and sensitivity, with a special approach to children, so curious and able to get excited about the enchantment of Mother Nature.

Whether you are in South Tyrol, Trentino, Veneto or Friuli Venezia Giulia, it is worth taking advantage of one of the many proposals organized within the Parks. There are something for every taste, not only guided tours with expert guides. Any ideas? A course to create baskets with hazel branches, to paint en plein air, to build a hotel for insects, and why not, to learn how to appreciate walking barefoot, and again, a night out in autumn to listen to the roaring of the deer, or a morning rise to watch the sunrise in the hut.
